One Acts/Playwriting

Through a series of scene-writing exercises, students are introduced to the concepts of dramatic structure and dialogue for the stage. Each student completes a one-act play by the end of the course, and two of those plays -- entirely student-directed and performed -- are chosen to be presented in the spring. 

Alumni of this class have gone on to become playwrights and attend some of the most prestigious writing programs in the country.
